question for essayez
I've seen random comments on the Net about later recordings by the Nighthawks (following Coon's death), but never any evidence in any of the actual discographies. Can you point me to such information beyond 1932?
I think some confusion has arisen here because of the name of the entry: "Coon-Sanders Big Band-31-40". This does not refer to the dates of the recordings, but is just a sort of running catalog number in a series of listings of multiple tunes by the band.
(note, the Internet Archive has 3 listings of multiple recordings by the Nighthawks as led by Joe Sanders alone, following Carlton Coon's death, but my understanding is that these took place within a year or so of Coon's passing, certainly not into the 1940's)

Correction for Bing....
Actually, the Nighthawks continued recording as a unit w/out Coon up to the early '40s....

Fantastic band
You've just got to love the old Coon-Sanders crew!
BTW, "I've got my love to keep me warm" was recorded in 1927, not 1937 (poor Carleton Coon died in April 1932 and Joe Sanders disbanded the group a year later).
